Crafco EZ Series II CRAFCO EZ SERIES II 1000 LITER (265 GALLON) OIL JACKETED, THERMOSTATICALLY CONTROLLED, MELTER APPLICATOR WITH ELECTRIC HOSE This double-boiler type melter applicator is designed to utilize the best attributes of a Super Shot melter and the EZ Pour melter. The Series II has a very fast and high meltdown rate, recovery and application with all grades of asphalt rubber sealant, fiber modified asphalt sealant and specification joint sealant without further modification . The unit is trailer mounted with dual axles and electric brakes. Gross weight full of sealant is 9,000 lbs. The unit has a safety shut-off feature on the dual lids that automatically stop the agitator when a lid is opened. The heat transfer oil is heated by a 12-volt 290,000 BTU high efficiency forced air diesel fired burner rated at a 95% efficiency. The burner is lit by a constant duty transformer powering an electric spark igniter. This igniter works in conjunction with a sensor that detects a lack of burn or ignition and shuts down the fuel supply. Thermostatic controls are at the rear for operator ease and safety. The unit can utilize either a heated hose and wand or a non-heated material hose and wand. Both are on a demand basis. The hose support boom will swivel side to side and slide front to back for ease of movement. The melter has thermostatic controls that automatically regulate the hot oil, material and heated hose temperature. The temperature control will have an interlock for the agitation system, allowing the agitator to be activated when the material temperature reaches 275 F. The pumping system will also have an interlock, allowing the pump to be activated when the hose temperature reaches 325 F. The sealant is hydraulically stirred with two aggressive opposing paddles.
